Pakistan has received unprecedented rains this monsoon season, creating a massive humanitarian crisis in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Overflowing rivers and flash floods have damaged or destroyed hundreds of homes, along with dozens of schools and health facilities.
Save the Children has been working in Pakistan since 1979 and our response team is mobilizing to help meet the most urgent needs of children and their families. Our response efforts include:
- Setting up child friendly spaces and providing psychosocial support to help children affected by the floods feel safe
- Assisting with the rehabilitation of damaged schools and deploying Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS) to help children return to learning
- Distributing dignity and hygiene kits to support children's health, hygiene, and safety needs
Help nowbysupporting our Children’s Emergency Fund, which allows us to effectively prepare, respond quickly and support children's recovery indisasters in the U.S. and aroundthe world, like the floods in Pakistan.
