Afghanistan Earthquake | Children's Emergency Fund
de SAVE THE CHILDREN FEDERATION INCA powerful 6.0 magnitude earthquake has struck eastern Afghanistan, devastating communities, with continuous aftershocks causing widespread destruction.
More than 800 lives have already been lost, and over 3,000 families—including 15,000 children—have been impacted. Roads are blocked by fallen stones, and damaged communication lines are slowing rescue efforts.
In response to this devastating emergency, Save the Children is:
• Deploying mobile health teams to the hardest-hit districts in Kunar and Nangarhar
• Providing emergency healthcare, as well as clean water, hygiene support, and child protection services
• Equipping children and families with shelter kits, tarpaulins, hygiene items, and education materials
